Assembly Visit - 45 minutes (including Q&A!)
Perfect for a packed gymnasium or individual classrooms, Callie speaks about writing for books, animation, comics, and video games, and the differences between the mediums. Students get a behind-the-scenes look at different types of writing, and come away with an understanding that regardless of the method, story is story!
Roller Coaster Writing Workshop - 45-60 minutes (including Q&A!)
Most stories are structured like a roller coaster, so get ready to put your hands in the air as we go through the basics of writing a story from beginning to end! Participants will have ample time to write and share their work as they learn about story hooks, resolutions, and everything in between. For ages 8+.
Callie would love to visit your students virtually and answer their questions about writing! These work best if students have read the first chapter of one of her books, and when their questions have been collected ahead of time. (I also recommend showing them this one-minute intro video about me!)
